HELPFUL HINTS
Entering Preschool : Prepare your child for preschool by talking about it with them. Tell them what to expect; new friends, new toys to play with, and teachers who will help them and take care of them. There will be snacks every day and exciting things to do all year.
Leaving your child for the first time: Remember parents, when you leave your child at school or elsewhere, your emotions when saying good-bye often influence your child's reaction to being left alone. If you say good-bye with a reassuring smile and kiss, chances are your child will react favorably.
Healthy tears: Rest assured we will have a few tears along the way to adjustment. The teachers have been blessed with tender loving care and will take care of your child.. If your child should cry or cling when saying good-bye, we recommend letting the teacher or assistant take him/her. They will give your child extra attention and reassurance.
Coming and going: Doors to the school open promptly at 8:00am/12:00pm. Please bathroom your child before arrival. Escort your child to the front door of the school. One of the teachers will greet them. Please arrive 5 minutes early for dismissal to hear the teacher's overview of the day and release information.
Mark all belongings and dress your child for comfort and play.
Please keep your child home and notify the school when they are sick.
